The STAR (Student Tuition Accounts Receivable) Task Force serves as a subject matter resource on accounts receivable pursuit and recovery. Our goal is to support COHEAO members in the development of policy, procedure, and industry best practices across areas of receivable management, including but not limited to legislation/regulatory compliance, bankruptcy, litigation, credit bureau reporting, and student Financial Responsibility Agreement (FRA) best practices, while upholding the integrity of the individual school’s processes.
The STAR Task Force works towards this mission by monitoring and sharing updates on state laws and regulations, providing training and hands-on experience shared through conferences, workshops, and webinars. The Task Force is comprised of industry experts from member institutions and commercial partners who have firsthand knowledge and experience in these areas. We support COHEAO’s advocacy efforts on legislative and regulatory issues concerning accounts receivable.
